Demonstration, Jalan Medan Merdeka Paralyzed

Hundreds of drivers of taxi, metromini, bajaj, public minivan and kopaja began to stage demonstration in Medan Merdeka today, Tuesday (3/22). No wonder, traffic jam along Jl Medan Merdeka, Central Jakarta cannot be avoided.

I want you to demonstrate orderly without anarchy action

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, the demonstration has triggered traffic jam. It is done to demand the government to shut down online app-based transport.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Andri Yansyah stands on a command car to hear the aspirations in front of City Hall.

Transportation Dept Personnel Sent to Manage Traffic in Medan Merdeka

Along with his partner, Sunardi Sinaga also sings Indonesia Raya together with the demonstrators. He requested, the demonstrators did not do anarchy.

"I want you to demonstrate orderly without anarchy action," he stated, in front of City Hall, Tuesday (3/22).

Meanwhile, Member of Central Jakarta Resort Police Traffic Unit, Aiptu Tasripin told, until now, there has been no traffic diversion on Jl Medan Merdeka Selatan. 

Besides to City Hall, another demonstration will also be staged in Presidential Palace, office of Communication and Informatic Ministry and DPR building.
