Government Demanded to Shut Down Online App-Based Transport

Hundreds of taxi drivers are demanding the government to immediately abolish online app-based taxi with black plate. One of demonstrators, Yanto (35), said its existence has caused conventional taxi income decreases significantly.

"We want the online transport to be abolished. They operate illegally and not have kir certificate," he expressed, Tuesday (3/22).

Previously, hundreds taxi did convoy along Jalan Letjen Sutoyo, MT Haryono until Jalan Gatot Subroto, Tuesday (3/22). They march from some areas in East Jakarta and its surrounding areas heading to DPR/MPR building, City Hall and Presidential Palace.

Transjakarta Prepares Route Diversion

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's information, those demonstrators began to conduct a long march from Jagorawi Toll Road. They are out of Cililitan Toll Road, precisely at in opposite of Makodam Jaya.

Similar condition is also spotted along Jalan Kalimalang and Jalan DI Panjaitan. It causes traffic jam from Cililitan-Tanjung Priok and Grogol. Even otherwise, precisely at Jalan DI Panjaitan also paralyzed.
