Here is Arrangement Concept of Marine Tourism

Jakarta Provincial Government is going to arrange the Marine Tourism in North Jakarta. The concept is to showcase tourist destinations in that location has been made.

If we control illegal building, recreational site will automatically be seen

Head of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept, Catur Laswanto disclosed, the arrangement will be carried out gradually. The first thing that will be done is relocating citizens to the flat and controlling illegal buildings. This is because the access road to some recreational sites in the area is covered by illegal residential.

Afterwards, a sheet pile will be installed to block tidal wave. Considering the existing land is under the sea level.

"If we control illegal building, recreational site will automatically be seen," he stated, when being contacted by Beritajakarta.com, Saturday (4/2).

There are some tour sites in such area, such as Luar Batang Mosque, Bahari Museum, Syahbandar Tower, Pasar Ikan, and Sunda Kelapa Port. These buildings are one of the historic buildings. Thus they will not be demolished.

According to him, the site is a Marine Tourism in ancient times. However, with the development of society, a few attractions building are covered.

"It happens when western people come to Jakarta. So there is a high historical value in it," he told.

Catur added, traditional boats in the Sunda Kelapa port become the main attraction. Because in countries other countries had not found the pinisi ships.

"Sunda Kelapa Port, it is interesting to be seen from both sides. The first is the loading and unloading of goods. Second is pinisi traditional boat can still be seen until now. This does not exist in foreign countries," he finished.
