Reclamation permit can be renewed every year. No limit expired. But we can revoke it if the developer is not qualified

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed that reclamation permit does not have a limit expired and can be renewed every year. However, if the developer does not qualify, permit can be revoked.

"Reclamation permit can be renewed every year. No limit expired. But we can revoke it if the developer is not qualified," he asserted, at City Hall, Thursday (4/7).

He added, despite Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) does not continue the discussion on draft bylaw of Zoning Plan for Coastal Areas and Small Islands in Jakarta, as well as Bylaw Revision No. 8/1995 on Implementation of Jakarta Reclamation and Spatial Planning, yet reclamation can still run.

But the developer cannot build building on the island. This is because building must wait for ratification of zoning draft bylaw first. "Reclamation remains run. But there must be no building on the island," he closed.
