35 CCTVs Connected to Cleanliness Dept's Command Center

Jakarta Cleanliness Dept, already has a command center that equipped with screen monitor connected to the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera. The camera serves to monitor the garbage volume at some garbage disposal sites (TPS), sluice gates, bridges, dams and so on.

Jakarta Cleanliness Dept Head, Isnawa Adji disclosed the monitor is connected with 35 CCTVs that spread in five cities. It is owned by Jakarta Water Management and Transportation Dept.

He added that such command center also serves to monitor dump truck that has been equipped with global positioning system (GPS). It can also monitor enter-exit activity of truck and garbage volume in Bantar Gebang Landfill, Bekasi, West Java. If there is garbage heaps, the officer directly reports it to the nearest officer to be followed up.
Every day, as many as 12 officers are on guard at control center. They work for 24 hours and is divided into three shifts. The command center was built in 2015 but effectively operated in January 2016.
