Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, will continue to add more flats in the capital. This year his party has realized 20 units, but will be re-added up to 56,000 units next year. By so, people living on the riverbank could be relocated to the flat.

"I just want to know, is there a private sector that can compete with me to build 20,188 flats?. Next year, we will build 56,000 flats," he stated, on the sidelines of executive meeting (rapim) a few days ago.

He will continue to purchase land to realize his program. Considering he had a target to build 50,000 units each year. Besides through City Budget (APBD), the construction will also use the developer obligation.

"In future, we intend to build 50,000 units of flat. So we will do relocation aggressively," he stressed.

Basuki added, every flat would have a width of 36 square meters. Thus, one unit can be occupied by one family, because equipped with two bedrooms.
