Heavy Rain and Strong Wind, Roads Inundated and Trees Collapsed

Heavy rain on Tuesday (4/22) afternoon had caused some roads inundated. The water level was varied between 10-50 centimeters.

There are at least 15 inundation locations happened in five municipalities

“There are at least 15 inundation locations happened in five municipalities,” stated Head of Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Informatics and Control Division, Edy Junaedy Harahap, Tuesday (4/22).

Here are those inundation locations and the water level:

- Jalan Pramuka 10-20 centimeters

- Jalan Matraman Raya 10-20 centimeters

- Jalan Mangga Dua 20 centimeters

- Jalan Tanjung Duren 10-20 centimeters

- Jalan Kebayoran Lama 10-30 centimeters

- Jalan UKI towards Tanjung Priok 10-20 centimeters

- Jalan Raya Tebet towards Pancoran 20 centimeters

- Cawang Flyover towards Cililitan 10-30 centimeters

- Under fly over on Jalan Kebon Nanas 10-30 centimeters

- In front of Mall of Indonesia, Kelapa Gading, 10-30 centimeters

- In front of Ibis Hotel on Jalan Slipi 10-40 centimeters

- In front of Park-Wika Hotel on Jalan Cawang 10-20 centimeters

- In front of Park Hotel on Jalan DI Panjaitan 10-20 centimeters

Besides inundation, the heavy accompanied by strong wind also caused seven trees collapsed in some locations, namely on Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Slipi towards Tanah Abang, near Kemanggisan Slipi Market, Grand Indonesia in front of Sinar Mas Thamrin, Jalan Palmerah in front of Palmerah Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Jalan layang Pejompongan towards Slipi, and in front of Bank of Indonesia on Jalan Thamrin.
