KPU to Begin Vote Recapitulation for Provincial Level Today

Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) is going to begin recapitulating votes count for provincial level today, Wednesday (4/23).

We will begin recapitulating votes count around 2 PM on Wednesday (4/23), at Borobudur Hotel

“We will begin recapitulating votes count around 2 PM on Wednesday (4/23), at Borobudur Hotel,” stated Jakarta KPU Head, Sumarno, Tuesday (4/22).

According to Sumarno, the recapitulation will be carried out for two days on April 23-24. As for determination of seats for political parties and elected legislative candidates for Jakarta Parliament (DPRD), it will be done on upcoming May 11-13.

Unrest Prevention, KPU Accommodates Voters in Gray Areas

Based on temporary data gathered on April 20 from ballots count post at City Hall, 3.3 million votes have been calculated. The result as follow:

1. Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) 27.61 percent 

2. Gerindra Party 13.83 percent

3. Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) 9.52 percent

4. United Development Party (PPP) 9.51 percent

5. Golkar Party 8.17 percent

6. Democratic Party 7.66 percent

7. People’s Conscience Party (Hanura) 7.34 percent

8. National Awakening Party (PKB) 6 percent

9. National Democrat (Nasdem) 4.42 percent

10. National Mandate Party (PAN) 3.71 percent

11. Crescent Star Party (PBB) 1.37 percent

12. Indonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI) 0.85 percent.
