Central Jakarta Administration began to form a chili planting program movement in an effort to anticipate price hike on chili ahead of fasting month and Eid ul-Fitr.

Mayor of Central Jakarta, Mangara Pardede disclosed, to support chili planting program, his party distributes seeds and educate residents how to plant chili.
"Chili price will rise ahead of fasting month. We appeal residents to utilize the existing land for chili planting. First phase, we distribute 15,000 seeds," he expressed, Sunday (4/24).
Chill Supply in Pasar Induk Kramat Jati DeclinesM Mulyadi, Head of Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept added that seeds distribution will be divided into two phases. First is 15,000 out of 30,000 seeds, with details 12,980 for 44 urban villages with 295 seeds per person.
As for the seed receiver, is reaching 78 farmer groups (poktan) that consisting of PKK cadre. Per person will receive 25 seeds and 70 seeds as back-up.
"The program will be guided by tehcnilcal officer," he finished.
