Jakarta Provincial Government will tighten monitoring food sales center or takjil (breaking of the fast dishes) during the fasting month. If the food contain hazardous substances, confiscation will be imposed.

Head of Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives (KUMKMP) Dept, Irwandi disclosed monitoring will involve Health Dept and Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM). As planned, the examination is focused on takjil sales centers, such as Bendungan Hilir, Pasar Senen and Rawamangun.
"If takjil contains hazardous substances, Mr. Governor will confiscate and destroy it," he stated, at City Hall, Tuesday (5/31).

"For instance, if we found dangerous food, they must dispose it immediately. If not, we will report them to the police," he stressed.
