Thousands of Pedicabs Netted from North Jakarta

North Jakarta Administration keeps intensifying the pedicab raid. Since January until May 2016, more than 2,000 pedicabs have been netted from various regions in six sub-districts, North Jakarta.

North Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Choiruddin disclosed that, there were totally 2,030 pedicabs netted from January until May 2016. Its existence that violates the Bylaw No. 8/2007 on public order will keep being hunted.

"Pedicab in Jakarta is very disturbing. It is often complained by local residents due to traffic jam," he expressed, Thursday (6/2).

Four Pedicabs in Cempaka Putih Netted

He details, from 2,030 pedicabs, 362 out of them are netted from Cilincing Sub-district, 323 pedicabs from Tanjung Priok Sub-district, 412 pedicabs from Koja Sub-district, 357 pedicabs from Penjaringan Sub-district, 353 pedicabs from Pademangan Sub-district and 223 other pedicabs from Kelapa Gading Sub-district.

"We'll continue to hunt them, as long as North Jakarta is not yet free from them," he stressed.
