Pramono Stresses KJP Cards Not to Be Used as Collateral

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has urged beneficiaries of the city's education assistance program not to pawn their Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) ahead of fasting month.

"Specifically for KJP, I will immediately coordinate with the Education Agency to ensure the cards are not pawned,"

He said he would coordinate with Education Agency to ensure that education social assistance, including KJP, is used as intended.

"Specifically for KJP, I will immediately coordinate with the Education Agency to ensure the cards are not pawned," Pramono said at Maroedja Sport Park in Meruya Utara, Kembangan, West Jakarta, on Thursday (2/12).

KJP Try Out Program, Jakarta Facilitates Students to Higher Education

Pramono stressed that KJP is not merely tuition but a vital instrument designed to help improve living standards, particularly for underprivileged residents.

"KJP is a fundamental program aimed at transforming the lives of people, especially those in the lowest-income group," he emphasized.

Based on data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the social safety net program has contributed to improvements in several welfare indicators in Jakarta, showing positive trends in poverty, stunting, and other areas.

"According to BPS data, all our indicators related to poverty, stunting, and others have improved. I believe this is due to programs such as KJP, KJMU, diploma amnesty, and others," Pramono explained.
