"This repair is part of our effort to ensure community access remains safe and reliable. Previously, many paving blocks had shifted or sunken due to their age and the weather," he expressed, Thursday (2/26).

The repairs focused on two specific sites, covering a total area of 10 meters in length and three meters in width. To ensure both quality and cost-effectiveness, damaged paving blocks were replaced with new materials, while those still in good condition were salvaged and reinstalled.

"13 personnel were deployed for this project. We're conducting the repairs in stages to ensure that every damaged section is fully restored to its optimal function," Nuralim explained.

With a 13-member personnel, we are tackling the repairs step-by-step until the infrastructure is back to 100%," he explained.

Beyond the physical fix, the aim is long-term sustainability. The local administration is also urging the public to help maintain these shared spaces.

"Caring for our island is a joint effort. We invite everyone to help look after our surroundings—if you see something broken, say something, so we can fix it right away," he urged.

This work received appreciation from one of the locals, Nurdin (45).

"It’s a great help to have a smooth road back. We look forward to routine check-ups by the authorities so minor issues can be fixed right away. We are on board to help keep these facilities in top shape for the long run," he added.
