In its implementation, Jakarta Culture Cinema features three main programs:
1. Jakarta Culture Cinema Fund (JCCFund)
A funding and film production training program designed for Jakarta residents to produce short films highlighting Jakarta’s Objects of Cultural Advancement. Through this program, 10 selected groups will be evaluated by Yudi Datau and Makbul Mubarak, and will subsequently receive production funding support of Rp 50,000,000 per group.
2. Jakarta Culture Cinema Fest (JCCFest)
This short film contest is open to both local and international filmmakers, with seven award categories up for grabs. Entries can be submitted via the official website, jakculturecinema.id, or the FilmFreeway platform.
3. JCC Cinema
This program showcases short films from JCCFund participants and curated JCCFest entries that did not make the final nominations. Screenings will be conducted at six locations throughout Jakarta’s five municipalities and one regency, culminating in a final event in Seribu Islands.
Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno is expected to attend the launch. He will symbolically kick off the program by cutting a kue dongkal, a traditional snack that serves as a representation of Jakarta’s vast culinary wealth and community traditions.
