Median Park of Jl Prof Dr Satrio Misused as Ojek Base

A median park under Casablanca-Tanah Abang Non-Toll Road Flyover (JLNT), Jl Prof Dr. Satrio, Setiabudi, South Jakarta is now misused as a base by motorcycle taxi (ojek) applications.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's data, tens of motorcycle taxis drivers park their vehicle on the median park of street while waiting for the passenger order. There are at least two illegal bases, precisely in front of Ambasador Mall and in front of Lotte Shopping Avenue.

One of store employees in Ambasador Mall, Faisal (23) said, they usually use the median park as a ojek base in afternoon until night.

"Whereas the park was been beautified but misused as ojek base," he expressed, Thursday (6/9).

Then an employee of foreign bank, Jl Prof Dr Satrio, Icha (26) admitted she had seen an ojek driver controlled by the officer. But the driver returns again tomorrow.

"They like to smoke and order coffee from coffee seller and throw garbage carelessly. I think they know when the officer will control them. That's why they never give up," she closed.
