Online Ojek Rampant, LLAJ Law will Be Revised

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama stated the central government plans to revise the Law No.22/2009 on Traffic and Land Transportation (LLAJ). The policy is purposed to accommodate the existence of motorcycle taxi (ojek). Considering, the existence of the transportation is getting rampant in the city, moreover the online application Go-jek and Grab Bike show up. 

Mr. Vice President said he wants to revise the law

Ahok claimed, he knew the law will be revised after having talk with Vice President Jusuf Kalla. Thus eventually such applications will have legal protection. 

"Mr. Vice President said he wants to revise the law," said Ahok in Manggis Market, South Jakarta, Wednesday (8/19). 

Go-Jek Recruitment Should Wait LLAJ Law Revision

According to him, regulations for regulating ojek existence is important. As ojek profession nowadays could be a choice for fired employees. 

"We hoped the application then could help increase living standard of the driver who has not understood application. It would be little trouble if open recruitment," he expressed.
