In order to prevent bird flu case, South Jakarta Sub-dept. of Maritime, Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) hold biosecurity or spraying disinfectant in three sub-districts namely Kebayoran Lama, Cilandak, and Pancoran.
This is a shock therapy for the slaughterhouses since they have no biosecurity
Disinfectant was sprayed for 35 slaughterhouses in Kebayoran Lama, nine slaughterhouses and 12 bird kiosks in Kebayoran Lama Utara.
In Cilandak, the effort was held at two slaughterhouses, five slaughterhouses in Pancoran precisely two in Pengadegan, two in Pancoran Barat and one in Cikoko.
City Accelerates Poultry Sweeping“Our schedule is four times in one year. Today is the second. First spraying was in March. This is a shock therapy for the slaughterhouses since they have no biosecurity,” said Yuli Absari, Head Section of Husbandry and Veterinary for South Jakarta Sub-dept. of KPKP, Monday (6/13).
According to Yuli, there are 130 slaughterhouses and 64 shelters.
