After the proceedings, the delegation laid flower petals at the tombs of various national icons and heroes. Among those honored were Raden Suwiryo, the inaugural Jakarta Mayor, Try Sutrisno, Indonesia’s 6th Vice President, Ani Yudhoyono, Hasri Ainun Habibie; and the 3rd President, B.J. Habibie. The tribute continued at the graves of Revolutionary Heroes, including Sutojo Siswomiharjo, S. Parman, M.T. Haryono, R. Soeprapto, and Ahmad Yani.

Visiting the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery remains a longstanding annual fixture on the Jakarta government’s calendar ahead of Jakarta’s anniversary. The activity is conducted to pay homage to the heroes whose pivotal roles and sacrifices have been instrumental to the nation's progress and the transformation of the capital city.

Beyond the memorial visit, the Jakarta government will hold the Grand Commemoration (Haul Akbar) of Betawi Ulama and Habaib on Friday (6/19) night. An essential component of Jakarta's anniversary program, the event will take place at Monas South Plaza, with an estimated attendance of 20,000 worshippers from across the greater metropolitan area.

Citing a written release from Jakarta Governor Special Staff for Social Communication, Chico Hakim, the occasion carries the theme 'Fostering Religious Harmony within Diversity, Jakarta’s Transformation into a Global City.'

He remarked that the event is an homage to Betawi religious scholars and habaib for their pivotal roles in Islamic proselytization, education, and the socio-communal advancement of the capital.

"This is a gesture of deep homage to the Betawi ulama and habaib who have played a monumental role in preaching, religious education, and the community advancement of Jakarta," he remarked firmly.
