Celebrating Jakarta`s 499th Anniversary at HI, Please Use Public Transportation

The Jakarta Transportation Agency urges the public to use public transportation to the location of the Jakarta's 499th Anniversary Night entitled 'Towards 5 Centuries of Jakarta' at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout area on Saturday (6/27).

To facilitate mobility

The Jakarta Provincial Government has implemented special fares for public transportation managed by the Jakarta Provincial Government on June 27–28, 2026, as support for the celebration.

The fare for Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta is set at Rp1. Meanwhile, the fare for Mikrotrans, Transjakarta Cares, and free services for certain groups remains at Rp0.

Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, said that the use of public transportation is expected to facilitate public mobility and reduce traffic congestion around the activity location.

"To facilitate mobility to the event location, we urge the public to use public transportation," he said, Friday (6/26).

There are several public transportation options available to reach the Bundaran HI area. MRT Jakarta passengers can get off at Bundaran HI Station or Dukuh Atas Station, operating hours are 5 AM–12 PM. Meanwhile, LRT Jabodebek passengers can get off at Dukuh Atas Station, which operates from 5 AM–11:30 PM.

Additionally, passengers can use the Jabodetabek Commuter Line (KRL) by getting off at Sudirman Station or BNI City Station. KRL services operate from 4 AM to 12 PM.

"It is hoped that the public can plan their trips well, utilize the available public transportation facilities, and follow the traffic regulations implemented during the Jakarta's 499th Anniversary Night so that the activities run safely, orderly, and smoothly," he hoped.
