Pratiwi (30), a resident of Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, appreciates Governor Pramono’s leadership style. She notes that rather than hitting 'reset,' he focuses on continuing the good work already in place and finding real solutions for the people.

By continuing transport development and maintaining public services, Jakarta moves forward without starting from scratch with every new leader," she stated, at the peak of Jakarta’s 499th Anniversary event at Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta.

Another resident, Legia (35) from Tangerang, who travels to Jakarta daily, shared that she has felt the tangible benefits of the Jakarta government’s efforts to bolster public transportation. For her, these improvements are a direct answer to the city’s ever-growing mobility needs.

"As a daily commuter, I see the Governor's approach becoming more responsive to our needs. The fleet expansion and new routes are crucial—they make commuting seamless. I hope to see public transport continue to improve in safety and comfort, while expanding its reach even further,” she admitted.

Beyond the transit improvements, she lauded Jakarta’s focus on social inclusivity. She believes the government's policies are successfully preserving the city’s diversity by providing a platform for all groups to coexist and grow.

"I’m also happy to see Jakarta becoming more inclusive. This city is a beautiful melting pot of different ethnicities, religions, and cultures. When our public spaces reflect and celebrate various religious festivities, it’s a simple yet deeply meaningful gesture. It makes everyone feel valued and ensures we all have an equal place in Jakarta,” she shared.

On Jakarta’s Anniversary, Legia expressed her hope that the city will continue to evolve into a progressive, inclusive metropolis that offers equal opportunities for all.

“Happy Anniversary, Jakarta! I hope we remain a progressive and friendly city for all. May our growth continue to be inclusive, leaving no one behind, so that every resident can enjoy the fruits of our city’s development,” she emphasized.
