"A total of 15 trees were planted, consisting of Pink Tabebuia and Mini Ketapang varieties," he said, Friday (8/14).

Iyan explained that the momentum surrounding the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia serves as a reminder to all segments of society that safeguarding national sovereignty is achieved not only through security measures but also by preserving ecosystems.

"Safeguarding Indonesia also means caring for the land, water, air, and the environment in which we live. This is a tangible form of nationalism in the present era," he added.

Meanwhile, the Acting Chief of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Senior Commissioner Oki Waskito, stated that the symbolic tree planting serves as a tangible demonstration of the police force's and local government's commitment to preserving the urban ecosystem.

"Behind the seedlings we plant today lies the hope for cleaner air, a cooler environment, and a better quality of life for our children and grandchildren in the future," he stated.

He hopes that the greening initiative will not stop at being a ceremonial activity but will instead evolve into a habit among the people of North Jakarta.

"I encourage the residents of North Jakarta not to hesitate to plant trees in their respective neighborhoods," he emphasized.
