This program aims to consolidate our collaborative interventions
North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat expressed his strong support for the partnership, highlighting that the safety of food and drug consumption is a top priority. He emphasized, synergy between the government and specialized agencies is the key to effective monitoring.
According to him, the city will focus on proactive measures, such as intensive community education.
BBPOM Jakarta Strengthens Food Safety at 14 Schools with Monas Program"We're moving forward with a Training of Trainers (ToT) program for our field officers. By empowering our educators, we can provide better awareness to the public on the dangers of misusing specific drugs," he expressed.
He added that the North Jakarta administration is fully committed to this educational initiative and will promptly initiate technical discussions with related Regional Government Agencies (OPD) to coordinate field implementation schedules.
Jakarta BBPOM Head Jeffeta Pradeko Putra, explained that various innovative strategies have been deployed as part of the intervention to prevent the misuse of specific drug categories. These multifaceted efforts include public outreach, education, strict enforcement, and even cyber patrols involving multiple sectors.
"This program aims to consolidate our collaborative interventions—ranging from socialization and education to law enforcement—working hand-in-hand with key departments such as the Health and Education agencies," he stated.
Jeffeta went on to say that educational efforts have been bolstered through creative communication, specifically an innovative song based on the 'Cek BEBAS' concept—an acronym emphasizing the inspection of a product's Form, Smell, Color, and Taste (Bentuk, Bau, Warna, Rasa).
This innovation is strategically linked to the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program to enhance the public's ability to identify food quality and prevent food poisoning among beneficiaries.
"Hopefully, through this strengthened collaboration, field supervision will become more effective, ultimately providing a sense of security and peace of mind for all residents of North Jakarta," he concluded.
In a push for broader community impact, North Jakarta’s People's Welfare Assistant, Anita Permata Sari, highlighted the need for seamless synergy. She noted that expanding the reach of health education—especially among the youth—is a top priority.
"This partnership is a key step toward maximizing the safety and protection of women and children across North Jakarta," she closed.
