Prudence Principle Applied to Preparation of the 2026 Revised Regional Budget

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung emphasized that the drafting of the 2026 Revised Regional Budget (APBD) is being carried out with a focus on prudence. This is to ensure that all planned programs can be implemented effectively.

Budget that is actually implementable

"The Jakarta regional budget is being drafted with caution and prudence. I have conveyed to the Regional Budget Team (TAPD), which is conducting deliberations with the Jakarta City Council, that it is better to have a prudent, cautious budget that is actually implementable," said Pramono, Wednesday (9/2).

Pramono Calls for Synergy to Tackle Dry Season Effects

Pramono does not want the budget structure to appear substantial yet prove unfeasible to implement effectively. This principle of prudence applies not only to the drafting of the regional budget but also to the structuring of the creative financing mechanisms utilized for Jakarta's development.

"I am confident that the available regional budget will certainly not compromise the quality of development in Jakarta," he added.

As for information, the total draft amendment to the 2026 Regional Budget stands at Rp 79.59 trillion, a decrease of 2.13 percent compared to the 2026 Regional Budget of Rp 81.32 trillion.

Regional revenue in the 2026 Revised Regional Budget is projected at Rp 69.36 trillion, a decrease of 2.93 percent compared to the 2026 Regional Budget figure of Rp 71.45 trillion.

Meanwhile, regional expenditure in the 2026 revised regional budget is projected at Rp 75.08 trillion, an increase of 1.08 percent compared to the initial 2026 fiscal year budget of Rp 74.28 trillion.
