Girder Installation Completed for Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge

Construction of the Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) in South Jakarta is progressing as part of the Jakarta Provincial Government's efforts to provide safe, comfortable crossing facilities that support people's mobility.

This is one of the key stages in the construction of the Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge

Imam Adi Nugraha, Head of the Urban Utilities Infrastructure Division at the Jakarta Public Works Agency, said one of the key stages in the construction of the Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge, known as girder erection, was successfully completed safely and smoothly.

"The girder erection for the Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge was successfully completed safely and smoothly. This is one of the key stages in the construction of the Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge," he said on Wednesday (9/2).

He said the Jakarta Public Works Agency had coordinated with the Transportation Agency and police to implement traffic management measures during the work.

The measures were taken to ensure construction work was carried out safely while maintaining smooth traffic flow and comfort for road users.

Imam explained that once all construction stages are completed, the Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge is expected to provide safer and more comfortable access for people crossing the road.

"The Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge is expected to support people's mobility while strengthening connectivity among activities in the surrounding area," he emphasized.

The Jakarta Public Works Agency also expressed its appreciation for the public's support, patience, and understanding throughout the construction process.

"Together, we can build Jakarta infrastructure that is safer, more comfortable, and beneficial to everyone," he asserted.

Once completed, the Pejaten Pedestrian Bridge will stand 6.5 meters high, with a length of 35.5 meters and a width of 3 meters.
