State of Emergency for Fires in Jelambar Has Been Extended

"Post-fire aid continues to flow. Even the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia has distributed aid," he said, Wednesday (9/16).
Assistance from Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka included 40 basic food packages containing rice, sugar, and cooking oil, 50 school supplies, and 40 blankets. Additionally, the West Jakarta Social Sub-agency prepared ready-to-eat meal packages for 160 residents every morning and afternoon.
Meanwhile, the West Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) provided ready-to-eat food packages to residents in the afternoon. They also received other assistance, including biscuits, mineral water, koko shirts, boys' shirts, soap, shampoo, bathroom brooms, men's and women's underwear, prayer robes (mukena), sanitary napkins, and diapers from various sources.
Pradista admitted that support and food and clothing assistance for the evacuees has been adequate. However, if anyone is willing to help, residents need building materials to rebuild their homes.
Pradista stated that since 10 buildings burned down, residents have remained in evacuation centers because they do not yet have an alternative place to live.
"Due to taking into account the readiness of residents, we have extended the disaster response status for another three days until tomorrow," he admitted.
