No Diploma Required, Apply Now for Jakarta’s 264 Environment Agency Jobs!

The Jakarta Environmental Agency is offering 264 temporary jobs under Padat Karya program (a cash-for-work waste management) running from November to December 2026.

No diploma requirement, making it accessible to everyone

The program allows residents to gain seasonal employment while contributing firsthand to urban sanitation and waste treatment operations in the capital.

Those 264 positions reflect current phase needs within the Environmental Agency, not the total cash-for-work openings provided citywide by the government.

Jakarta Environmental Agency Head Dudi Gardesi noted the program benefits both residents and the environment by offering income and boosting waste collection, sorting, and processing.

“The cash-for-work program encourages resident involvement in waste handling. We expect it to yield economic benefits while strengthening Jakarta's waste management,” he expressed, Monday (10/26).

Available roles include 139 organic/inorganic waste sorters, 25 RDF Plant helpers, and 100 waste collectors. Placements span Jakarta's cities and Seribu Islands, matching applicants' domiciles.

Dudi explained the roles are open to male and female Jakarta ID Card holders, prioritizing deciles 1–5. No formal diplomas are required.

“No diploma requirement, making it accessible to everyone,” he explained.

Accepted workers will serve for two months (November–December 2026) for 20 workdays monthly, earning Rp 174,748 daily.

Localized placements will help workers carry out field tasks efficiently.

Waste sorters will aid motorized cart (Germor) drivers in moving waste to temporary disposal sites (TPS).

“They will also prepare materials for pulpers, build biopores, and assist composting,” Dudi furthered.

As for RDF Plant helpers will support turning waste into alternative fuel (RDF).

Waste collectors will handle loading onto haul trucks and prevent spillage during transport.

“Their work will support daily waste handling and ensure cleaner public spaces,” he added.

The recruitment timeline for this intake is as follows:

- October 23–25: Registration

- October 26–27: Verification

- October 28: Evaluation

- October 29: Selection announcement

- October 30: Contract signing

Eligible residents can register by filling out their personal details and uploading their ID cards via the official website at https://www.jakarta.go.id/padat-karya.

“We encourage qualified residents to take advantage of this opportunity and actively participate in Jakarta’s waste management efforts,” he concluded.

The job opening focuses on the agency’s immediate needs for November–December 2026.
