Dozens of street vendor (PKL) stall around Cipete Market, Jalan Damai, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, were controlled. They occupied roadside and sidewalk.

“The controlling is also based on citizens report through SMS to governor. We have appealed the vendors to sell inside the market, but they refused,” said Fidiyah Rokhim, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, Monday (6/27).

There were 13 street vendor stalls taken to Satpol PP warehouse in Kebayoran Baru, including their properties.

In order to prevent street vendors occupying the roadside, personnel prepare a post near the market. Personnel will guard the area from 6 AM to 12 PM.

“We remain monitor the vendors while doing mobile patrol,” he added.
