12,249 Homecomers Departed from Senen Station

Entering 7 days before Eid ul Fitr, the homecomer candidates began to crowd the Senen Station, Central Jakarta. The passenger surge has been seen since Saturday (6/25).

The number keeps increasing every day and its peak is predicted to hit 5-3 days before Eid ul Fitr

Based on the data, on 7 days before Eid ul Fitr, until 1 PM, as many as 12,249 passengers have been departed using 12 regular trains and 5 additional trains. "Since Saturday (6/25), the number of passengers is increasing and its occupancy has reached 100 percent," said Bambang S Prayitno, Senior Manager of Public Relation for PT KAI Daops I, at Senen Station, Thursday (6/30).

He added the passenger who has been departed is reaching 14 thousand-19 thousand people on last Saturday. But, at this time, around 20 thousand of passengers have been departed per day. "The number keeps increasing every day and its peak is predicted to hit 5-3 days before Eid ul Fitr," he expressed.

As for the favorite destination, most will go to Kutoarjo, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Solo, Surabaya and Malang.
