Street vendors (PKL) at Pasar Kebayoran Lama and Pasar Minggu markets will be controlled soon. As planned before, the controlling will be run at Eid eve by deploying hundreds of Satpol PP personnel.

1,000 Satpol PP personnel in South Jakarta will be involved

South Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Ujang Hermawan, said street vendor number at those two areas is rampant and difficult to be managed.

“It’s commitment of Jakarta Provincial Government to keep Jakarta condition safely at Eid eve and Lebaran,” he said, Monday (7/4).

He added that South Jakarta Mayor Tri Kurniadi will lead the operation. Other sub-districts will also hold similar operation at the same time. Other markets to be controlled are Pondok Labu and Mampang.

“We have conducted the socialization to the traders. 1,000 Satpol PP personnel in South Jakarta will be involved,” he closed.
