Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama ensured the Bersih Manusiawi Wibawa (BMW) stadium, North Jakarta construction is postponed. The construction can not be done in multi years system.

It can not use this year budget. It will not finish in a year

Based on Home Ministry Regulation No. 21/2011 about Regional Monetary Management, project can not be longer than regional head period.

“It can not use this year budget. It will not finish in a year,” he said, Tuesday (7/19).

Basuki predicted the stadium construction will take two years.

“My period ends in October. City budget can not be used for multi years project,” he added.

If using city budget, he continued, the construction can be implemented in 2018.

Previously, the construction is given to reclamation developer. However, reclamation meets problem and this plan must be also cancelled.
