Land Dispute, Construction of BMW Stadium Still Stagnated

Due to the land is still in dispute, the construction of the Bersih Manusiawi Berwibawa (BMW) Stadium, Cilincing, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, is not yet realized. Whereas, a groundbreaking was already done by city administration.

According to Ratiyono, Head of Jakarta Sports and Youth Department, two unfinished land certificates in court thus there has been no significant progress in the BMW stadium construction. But all preparations have been done, such as planning and building design.

"Those preparations are design and planning. Our homework is just finishing two certificates from four-two plots of land. But two of them planned to be processed tomorrow morning and then stadium construction will be auctioned on the next day," he explained, Tuesday (12/23).

While waiting dispute process, his department is completing some permits that must be met, such as the environmental impact analysis (Amdal). In addition, coordination with Building Control Department continues to be established regarding permit. "Our progress is completing unfinished permits and upgrading Amdal," he asserted.

Meanwhile, the city administration cannot pay compensation due to the existing land is an asset of government. Thus if there is compensation, it will violate the rules.
