Pulogadung Terminal will Be Transformed Into Rusunawa

After relocating AKAP bus operational to Pulogebang Terminal, the Pulogadung Terminal in East Jakarta will be transformed into a low-cost apartment (rusunawa). The development will begin in the upcoming 2017.

Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Andri Yansyah disclosed has coordinated with Housing and Government Building Dept regarding rusunawa project in Pulogadung Terminal. "Pulogadung Terminal will be transformed into rusunawa and we also have done coordination with Housing Dept," he stated, Wednesday (7/20).

He disclosed the terminal will remain function, despite the apartment has been made. This is because it would be connected with intercity terminal. Thus citizen mobility can be served by transportation mode with lots of option. It is hoped able to parse congestion in the capital. 

The basic reason why terminal operational moved to Pulogebang is because of unworthy, especially AKAP bus. As for the existing intercity terminal, will be used as the track.

Initially, there were many terminals that will be transformed into rusunawa. Those are Rawabuaya, Pasar Minggu, Tanah Merdeka, Kampung Rambutan, Pulogadung and Kalideres. All have passed through survey stage from Housing Dept. After passing a long meeting, it was only directed to Pulogadung Terminal.
