Garbage Heaps Along Jl Raya Cilincing Complained by Locals

Residents living in Kali Baru Urban Village are complaining garbage heaps on Jl Raya Cilincing, North Jakarta. Besides spreading rotten smell, the river is also unsightly.

I guess people deliberately throw garbage there

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, garbage is seen along the street, precisely on the left side of the street from Cilincing-Tanjung Priok. Its existence is also a lot at five points of the street.

Hendra (55), a resident of RW 05, Kali Baru Urban Village said that garbage already normally transported at around 9 PM. "I guess people deliberately throw garbage there. Because, at around 10 AM, some janitors and dump truck always pick up garbage on such street," he told, Wednesday (7/27).

While North Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-dept, Slamet Riyadi asserted garbage transportation is always conducted routinely. But his sub-dept also had caught people threw garbage haphazardly.

"The street should be sterile from garbage. Hence, I'll coordinate with local headmen to contribute in maintaining the area clean," he disclosed.
