377 People in Central Jakarta Infected with Dengue Fever

Weather anomalies that happen in these few months have made dengue fever (DBD) case increases. In East Jakarta, 377 people were reported have been infected with dengue fever from January to April. This amount is higher than the same period last year when 340 DBD cases happened.

According to dr Yohana, dengue fever patients spread in eight sub-districts and 44 urban villages. From those areas, the ones that prone to dengue fever are Menteng, Cempaka Baru, and Cempaka Putih Barat. Because of that, Central Jakarta Health Sub-Department conducted prevention steps as well as counseling to press the occurrence of dengue fever cases.

“We have conducted some prevention steps and counseling, such as PS-3M, larvicides, fogging, and reference to hospitals for those who are infected with dengue fever,” she stated.
