Allegedly Leaked, Raid Only Found Cigarette Buds

Cigarette raid conducted by joint officers in West Jakarta Mayor office, Jalan Kembangan Raya, Wednesday (5/7) was resultless. No employees or visitors were caught smoking.

We surmise today's raid was leaked thus the result is not optimal. We only found dozens of cigarette buds and ashtray in Block B

Officers only found cigarette buds from some trash cans around the office.

Jakarta Head Cigarette Raid Supervisor for Bureau of Social Welfare, Mokar, the raid conducted on 9 AM to 12 PM started from first floor to 15th floor of Block B building. The raided rooms were sub-dept. of sport, National and Political Unity Office (Kesbangpol), sub-dept. of city park, sub-dept. of public works for water management, and sub-dept. of building control.

"We surmise today's raid was leaked thus the result is not optimal. We only found dozens of cigarette buds and ashtray in Block B," Mokar said.

Mokar added, based on regulation, civil servant who smokes inside the room or around the office will get sanction in form of Regional Performance Allowance (TKD) reduction. "Civil servant should be role model, office must be free from cigarette smoke," he added.
