Citizens living in RW 13, Penggiliangan Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta are complaining the Buaran Indah 4 Park condition that has been unmaintained since 2002. The park itself is used by citizens to build illegal building and parking.

The land as wide as 3,000 square meters at RT 09/13 was actually for social and public facility. Unfortunately, it is not maintained well, despite it has been handed over to the city administration.

RW 13 Penggilingan Chairman, Hidayat Bostam disclosed such land has been a long time used by locals outside Penggilingan area for illegal building and parking.

"We hope East Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept to immediately solve it. This park is owned by local government, supposedly it must be maintained," he complained, Friday (8/12).

The locals plan to request for a mosque on such land. "While awaiting mosque, we want the related unit to maintain the park thus free from misuse action," he told.

On the other hand, Head of East Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept, Christian Tamora Hutagalung stressed would check the park. All this time, the land is rarely touched, because still being focused on the existing park and lane. Not all public facilities and administration were included in goods inventory card and from sub-dept.

"We'll check out it soon. Indeed, we focus on greening program. Than acquire land, we would be better developing the existing ones,” he disclosed.
