21 People Allegedly Thugs Secured from Kalideres Terminal

Kalideres Metro Sector Police hold raid in Kalideres Terminal, West Jakarta, Saturday (5/10), after receiving many complaints from the citizens who reported thuggerism acts which rampant again recently. Officers were sweeping the terminal to every corner.

Everyone who looked like thugs was asked to show their identity. Those who cannot show it were taken to the police station to be recorded. From this raid, 21 people allegedly thugs were secured.

Police Raided Shop-house in Gambir, 90 Kgs Meth Confiscated

Priyanto hopes the raid could press the presence of thugs and street singers hanging around in the Kalideres Terminal.

“If the situation was neglected, the amount of thugs and street singers would increase. By catching them, the terminal becomes conducive for the citizens, especially its visitors,” he uttered.

Buyung (32), one of the thugs secured, claimed that he is only a pander, not a thug.

“Yes, I do not have identity card (KTP), but I’m not a thug. I’m just a pander,” said the man who told that he has been in the terminal for five years.
