Fire Burns Plywood Warehouse at Jalan Panjang

A warehouse to store wood and plywood was burnt at Jalan Panjang, RT 13/09 Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk. The fire also burnt worker mess building.
The fire is likely from one of cutting equipments in the warehouse
Firman (32), one of workers, said the fire occurred at 10.30 AM. It is allegedly the fire came from short-circuit electricity of equipment.
“The fire is likely from one of cutting equipments in the warehouse,” he said, Tuesday (9/6).

West Jakarta Head Section Operational for Sub-dept. of Fire Handling and Rescue, Rompis Romlih, admitted his side deployed 20 firetrucks. The fire was finally managed two hours later.
“Flammable material and low water source disturbed us managing the fire,” he admitted.
According to him, the incident did not killed anybody. One worker namely Wong Cit Hong (60) is injured and rushed to hospital.
