PT Transjakarta Accommodates Trans Batavia Workers

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said some of dismissed Trans Batavia workers have been accommodated by PT Transjakarta.

The should ask the severance to the operator, PT Trans Batavia. We have paid their contract

“Several drivers and workers have been accommodated to Transjakarta,” he said, Wednesday (9/14).

PT Transjakarta has paid the obligation to the operator based on rupiah per kilometer contract. It means the severance for dismissed workers should be given by the operator.

Transjakarta Drivers Able to Work Again

“The should ask the severance to the operator, PT Trans Batavia. We have paid their contract,” he added.

Basuki suggests PT Trans Batavia workers to report the dismissal to Jakarta Dept. of Manpower and Transmigration.

“Operator is a private side. If you have problem, please go to manpower agency. We are ready to accommodate with Transjakarta,” he continued.

Meanwhile, dozens of PT Trans Batavia held a rally in front of City Hall. They wanted their right to be paid by the operator.

PT Trans Batavia is one of PT Transjakarta operators. The contract was cut since February 2016 ago. The operator is a consortium from several companies like PT Mayasari Bhakti, PT Steady Safe, Perum PPD, and Metro Mini P AC 100.
