Bylaw on RTRW & RDTR-PZ in N. Jakarta Socialized"We'll seek input from urban experts about regulation of underground utilization in the city. We target the bylaw could be ratified before Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) operates," said City Council Chairman, Edi Marsudi, Tuesday (9/20).
Marsudi disclosed, underground regulation is required to set function and utilization. Thus it is able to accommodate the interests of citizens in running their activities.
"We can imagine, if the MRT operates but no local regulation on utilization of underground space in Jakarta. As a result, the construction will be done arbitrarily thus the interests of citizens were neglected," he expressed.
He added, in plenary meeting, it was set into several functions such as commercial, public transportation and so forth.
"Draft bylaw proposal about underground refers to Law No. 26/2007 on Spatial Planning. This is the time Jakarta as the capital to have the regulation," he closed.
