Ahok: No Personal Account Use!

The use of personal accounts to accommodate the City Budget (APBD) by head section officials in Jakarta Public Works Department get a strong response from Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama. He asked all regional working units (SKPD) in Jakarta Provincial Government not to repeat such a thing.

“ It’s not allowed to use personal account. I’ve told this to them, but there are still stubborn people, such as in Public Works Department. We have got the report ,” he stated, Thursday (5/15).

Basuki revealed that he received the same report with the media coverage about 44 sub-district head section officials in Jakarta Public Works Department who opened personal accounts to disburse the budget for asphalt road repair in the 2013 City Budget.

“I have warned Mr. Rudy (Siahaan, Head of Jakarta Public Works Department). If his subordinates still taking cash, just watch. As soon as the State Civil Apparatus Law issued, I will fire those people. Such insolent civil servants (PNS),” he asserted.

Besides that, Basuki also found odd circumstances like in the honorary employee payment. The names were listed, but the real individuals are nowhere to be found.

“After the money transferred to the bank accounts, the people are not existed. That is a fraud. The authorities will take action. There are so many odd things,” he uttered.

For that, Basuki promised to solve this matter in stages.

“Give us one and a half year. If we found odd things, we will take care of it slowly,” he said.

For information, the roads repair budget in Jakarta Public Works Department in 2013 was disbursed to the personal accounts of 44 sub-district section heads for as much as Rp 39 billion. The budget has been absorbed 100 percent.
