With this MoU, I’m optimistic that the economic growth and business climate in Jakarta would be improving and growing,” stated Jokowi after the MoU signing at the City Hall, Wednesday (5/14).

According to Jokowi, the value of the City Budget (APBD) increases every year. For this year, the amount is Rp 72 trillion. If it was not used properly, the Budget Surplus (Silpa) will be huge.

Jokowi Asked for Ulama Support Controlling City Programs

“Don’t let the budget surplus go up drastically because the budget cannot be used, it cannot happen. The most important thing is to use the budget and divide it with Jakarta KADIN according to the procedures, and do it with the right quality and time,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, Jakarta KADIN Chairman, Edi Kuntadi, hopes this MoU would improve the synergy between Jakarta Provincial Government with Jakarta KADIN in creating a conducive business climate, thus business players can participate in the city development.

“We hope this agreement would be followed up with a cooperation agreement between Jakarta KADIN and 12 regional working units (SKPD) by implementing programs that encourage the economic growth,” he uttered.
