Violated Billboard on Crossing Bridges to Be Controlled

Jakarta Dept. of Transportation is about to inventory all billboard on crossing bridge. It is done to respond the collapsed crossing bridge in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Saturday (9/24).

“Together with related units, we’ll control billboards violate the regulation. Especially on crossing bridge,” said Sigit Wijatmoko, Jakarta Vice Dept. of Transportation, Sunday (9/25).

Based on the data he received, billboard on Pasar Minggu crossing bridge license has already ended since 2010 ago. But the owner did not remove it.

“100 meters from the collapsed crossing bridge, there is also a billboard. But the condition remains safe. Allegedly, this collapsed crossing bridge material structure covered the bridge railing. The bridge was unable to hold the burden,” he explained.

According to him, other units must also check the ads banner attachment at public facilities, especially crossing bridge.
