Massive Demo Forced Jl Gatot Subroto Diverted Today

The motorists are urged to avoid Jl Gatot Subroto on Thursday (9/29) morning. This is because, there will be a massive demonstration from hundreds of workers incorporated by All-Indonesia Workers Union Confederation (KSPSI).

To anticipate traffic jam, the police will also apply traffic engineering at the points passed by the demonstrators.

Sub-directorate Chief of Polda Metro Jaya's Bin Gakkum, AKBP Budiyanto disclosed the demonstration is held in in front of Presidential Palace, DPR building, Jamsostek building and Manpower and Transmigration Ministry office.

"We urge the motorists not to pass Jl Gatot Subroto and find other alternative roads or follow direction from the officer in the field," he stated, Thursday (9/29).

The roads that must be avoided are Jalan Gatot Subroto after Semanggi to the west. Then Jalan Gatot Subroto after Semanggi to the east and Jalan Gatot Subroto after Kuningan Traffic Light to the east. 

If there is an increased concentration of mass and escalation, there will be diversion of traffic flow.

Traffic diversion itself will be applied from HI Roundabout - Jalan Sudirman diverted to Jalan Teluk Betung - Jalan Kebon Kacang or Dukuh Atas until Jalan Kendal. Then from Jalan Sudirman, diverted to Dukuh Atas - Tanah Abang and Jalan Galunggung.

From Patung Kuda, diverted to Jalan Wahid Hasyim - Jalan Agus Salim and to the direction of Patung Kuda will be diverted to Jalan Sabang - Jalan Sutan Sahrir.

Then toward Presidential Palace, from Jalan MH Thamrin - Harmoni, diverted to Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis - Jalan Majapahit - Jalan Gajah Mada.

From Harmoni or Jalan Hayam Wuruk, diverted to Jalan Juanda - Jalan Pos - Jalan Gedung Kesenian - Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara - Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat - Jalan Pejambon - Jalan Ridwan Rais. 

Lastly, the vehicle heading to DPR/MPR building, from Semanggi will be diverted to Semanggi - Jalan Gerbang Pemuda - Jalan Gelora - Jalan Gelora 1 or Jalan Palmerah Utara.
