Dangerous Food Found in 5 Traditional Markets

"This as part of our seriousness in eradicating food containing formalin. We'll act strictly," he asserted, Thursday (9/29).

According to him, it is from food oversight from 125 markets in Jakarta. After being investigated, the fish was sold from Muara Baru Nizam Zachman Fishery Port and Muara Angke Port, Penjaringan.

The formalin level is very high. That is between 8-91 Ppm. However, one thing that is still in question is whether the formalin is produced from the fish itself or intentionally added by the merchant

Therefore, related unit is still investigating and observing it thus there is no mistake.

"We've cooperated with BBPOM to uncover this matter," he told.

Besides that, around 48 fish catch tools are also destroyed. They consist of two trawl nets, 4 Muro Ami nets, and 42 Arad nets, that are the finding results of Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security and Polda Metro Jaya's Waters Police Directorate.
