Discotheque Miles in Lokasari will Be Closed Down

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to close down the Discotheque Miles in Lokasari Folk Amusement Park (THR), Mangga Besar, West Jakarta.

Previously, at the same location in May, similar case was also detected. That means there is an element of omission, thus we give close down the discotheque as penalty

Such discotheque was threatened to be closed down because it is allegedly often used as a drug abuse.

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept Head, Catur Laswanto disclosed, the closure is done after the police and National Narcotics Agency (BNN) found their drug abuse from unscrupulous members of the police.

"Previously, at the same location in May, similar case was also detected. That means there is an element of omission, thus we give close down the discotheque as penalty," he stated, Monday (10/10).

Catur revealed has given strict warning to the local discotheque management since the drugs case found.

"In several occasions, we have repeatedly warned them to close down their discotheque. But it is still ignored," he told.

Aside that, his side also has coordinated with Jakarta Satpol PP. Its permit operational has been revoked.

"Whether it is sealed or await coordination with Satpol PP. We've revoked its permit," he disclosed.
