Basuki: Stadium Discotheque can Be Re-Opened, But in Other Places

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama denied a report that mentions the Stadium Discotheque located at Jalan Mangga Besar operates again. Based on the information gathered in social media, the discotheque has returned to operate and renamed Level 5.

"I have checked the report. It's fake," said Basuki at City Hall, Thursday (8/14).

He admitted would not prohibit entrepreneurs to re-open the entertainment business, as long as they open it in other places buying and no longer be drug transaction.

"I just give you permission, but just entertainment business and do not rename the discotheque's name at the same site. You have to search other places. If you want to rename the discotheque, its management must also be replaced. I don't prohibit it. But we would shut down the discotheque, if we found drugs transaction," he asserted.

As reported earlier, the Stadium Discotheque was closed down due to drug transaction and caused a policemen from Manado died.

Stadium owner is allowed to re-open the business, it is free from drug transaction.
