Basuki Pleased Stadium Discotheque Closed Down

Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki T Purnama acknowledged that he is pleased with the closure of Stadium Discotheque on Jalan Mangga Besar, West Jakarta.

I will not hesitate to close down discotheques if drugs were found there. They will be directly closed down

“Stadium Discotheque has been closed down,” stated Basuki at City Hall, Tuesday (5/20).

According to Basuki, the discotheque was closed because it has violated the rules that have been agreed with Jakarta Provincial Government. The violation was drug transactions in the nightclub.

“We have found two drugs cases. That’s why the discotheque directly closed down,” he uttered.

Basuki also disclosed that Jakarta Provincial Government is cooperating with Indonesia Police Crime Unit to monitor drugs transaction in some discotheques in Jakarta.

Stadium Discotheque was closed some time ago following the death of a policeman from Minahasa Selatan Resort Police, Brigadier J (22), due to drug overdose. Although had been rushed to Husada Hospital, West Jakarta, his life could not be saved. It is alleged that J was having a party with his three colleagues in the discotheque.
