City Intends to Open Passport Service at PTSP Office

Jakarta Provincial Government offers cooperation to the Directorate of Immigration for Law and Human Rights Ministry, to open passport processing service at the PPSU office at sub-district level.

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat disclosed, the offer was given after seeing citizen enthusiast during Immigration Directorate event which opened passport service at East Jakarta Mayor office.

"Yesterday, passport service was held at East Jakarta Mayor office. Hence, we offer cooperation with Immigration Directorate making passport in our PTSP," he expressed, when he opened socialization about Immigration for Foreign Supervision, at City Hall, Thursday (10/20).

He hoped if it was realized, residents who want to process passport could be resolved.

"I ever process passport, you know its queue is very long. If the cooperation is realized, I think residents do not need to queue. Let the officer busy, instead of residents" he expressed.

Responding on this matter, General Directorate of Immigration for Law and Human Rights Ministry, Ronny Sompie positively welcomed such offer. But there should be a study first before opening the service.

"We'll study it," he said.
