Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat disclosed that the city government is still focused on the procedure operational standard (SOP) for Rat Eradication Movement (GBT). It is targeted, the draft will finish in the upcoming November.

"SOP is still being drafted by the government assistant. Hopefully it can be complete next month and run," said Djarot, at Nurul Amal Mosque, Rawa Minyak, Pasar Minggu, Friday (10/21).

According to him, the SOP mentions one rat that caught is rewarded by Rp 20,000. To get it, residents can bring their catch to the nearest urban village office.

"I tell to the government assistant, there are things that must be obeyed. First, the rat should not be shot with a gun, poisoned and catch using a trap," he stated.

If the SOP is done, village chief will socialize it until RT level. Thus, residents will be busy hunting rat and can minimize a plague of rats in Jakarta.
